I have plenty of experience caring for children. My primary source of income was babysitting in high school. I got most of my business by "word of mouth" referrals. Then I worked for a drop-in daycare in Houston, Tx called "Gimme a Break". It was a lot of fun and they were sad when I left for college. I definitely have a way with children. They often gravitate to me in a group setting. In 2010-2014, I also volunteered as a child advocate for CASA in the King County Court System. Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) is a national association that supports and promotes court-appointed advocates for abused or neglected children in order to provide children with a safe and healthy environment in permanent homes. This was a very fulfilling position. Unfortunately, it took a hard emotional toll on me as I was dealing with severely abused and neglected children Read more and I had to quit.
