Hi, I'm Emily and I love hanging out with kids! I know that may sound cliche, but I really do - I have a 6-year-old brother and 3-year-old sister at home that I adore spending all my time with. I'm a senior biology major at Shepherd University, so one thing I encourage with children is fostering a love for science or exploration. I always have fun crafts to do with kids, whether it's making non-newtonian fluids, creating crystals, or just simple things like an ant farm, I love seeing young minds at work. I'm also minoring in math, so I like to teach kids useful integrated applications of fractions, so when it's time to go over those concepts in class - they have a head start! I also like to combine the two - like going out for nature walks and seeing if we can find pine cones that spin Read more according to Fibonacci's golden ratio! I'm also a big kid at heart - you can often find me spending time in our backyard tree fort with my brother and sister, or playing board games with my brother while teaching him lessons in patience and forgiveness (like in Sorry!). I work well with all ages, I'm CPR certified, I'm punctual, I have a safe driving record, and more than anything, I value children beyond all means.
