I am looking for temporary respite care for my 84-year-old father, who has very limited mobility. My mother is his primary caregiver, but there is a time she is not available for about 3 weeks. We need a responsible and kind carer 2 times a day from 11am-1pm and 7pm-9pm.
My father needs assistance getting in and out of bed, helping to emptying his suprapubic catheter, changing his clothes, showering once a week, and warm up his meals, accompanying him for short walks and helping for bedtime routine. He has a wheelchair but can use a walker for short distances and can perform some basic tasks, such as brushing his teeth and eating food, but he requires help with most personal-care activities and may need assistance with transfers.
