I am a caregiver and that is what I enjoy. I have worked with children, teens and adults. I have experience in many areas.
I cared for both my mother and father until they passed. My mother had cancer and my dad had a stroke shortly after finding out about my mom. She passed one year later and my dad moved in with me and my children. He lived 13 years after stroke. He never regained his speech but we were able to communicate. I began working as a CNA with Alacare Home Health and Hospice for three years.
I also have experience with children. I began babysitting at age 13 during summers and weekends. I work in the Chilton County School System for 11 years in a classroom with teens. I retired from that job in February 2017. I have two grown daughters and a son. I have three grandchildren.
I will sit with elderly, keep children or live in as a caregiver. I will do transportation services or respite care.
I look forward to the opportunity to be of service.
