I became a care companion caregiver in 2007 when my grandmother had Dementia and Alzheimer's. I seen a lot of stuff that she was dealing with and it hurt me to see my grandmother. So I decided to step and help my grandmother with everything that she was going thru. I know how family have a hard time and the challenges that that gave in a everyday life. I love spending time with the ELDERLY and working with them, also I have put a lot sold smile on the elderly face. I'm currently a PCA at North River Village. I CURRENTLY assisted the residents with shower, dressing and activities with them on a daily basics. I love what I do cause one day I might be where a ELDERLY person situation and I would want some one child to treat me the same way. This is the reason why I became a Care Companion and I'm living the 9years I have it..
