Hello, my name is Veronica Lilly. I live in the Tuscaloosa area and have worked in the patient care industry for nearly fifteen years. I am a board certified Patient Care Assistant. During my tenure I have worked for state institutions, nursing homes, and provided home health care. I am currently employed by a local nursing home. Below, I will give you a brief description of many of the duties I often perform. I look forward to working with you and your family to improve your health and quality of life.

Generally I offer home care, respite care and transport. As far as the specifics go, we will start with bathing. I will assist with showers or sponge baths, as well as provide baths for those who cannot bathe themselves. I provide basic denture care (such as cleaning and taking in and out.) Complete nail care, including manicure and pedicure. I am well versed in transferring individuals from a sitting or standing position to and from the bed, in and out of vehicles and on and off the commode I am also well practiced in transferring individuals by the use of Hoya lifting apparatuses. I do full foot care, including washing, cleaning, moisturizing, exfoliating and complete toenail and cuticle care. I offer toileting services, including care and cleanup for those who either cannot use the restroom unassisted, and those who may use the restroom upon themselves. I provide full grooming, including hair care, manicure and pedicure, dressing and undressing/changing for those who either cannot do these things for themselves, or need assistance to do so. I work with patients on their range of motion exercises and extremity massages to promote locomotion and circulation. I assist individuals in the timely taking of their medications. In addition to my CNA related duties, I will provide limited transporting, cooking, bed changing, and laundry, light house cleaning and shopping.
