I was a care giver for my father for more than 3 years. I am currently working as a companion home care giver. My experience in taking care of my parents as well as life experience have been a huge asset in working as a care giver. Light housekeeping, managing medications, assisting with walking/sitting/restroom are some of my duties. Most importantly I engage elderly in conversation that are meaningful to them and encourage the elderly to move safely to relieve muscle stiffness.
The most rewarding thing about working with the elderly is that I believe I can improve or at least make a small difference in their quality of life.
