Misty’s Bio

Hello! My name is Misty & I am a professional Nanny. For as long as I can remember I have loved children. As a child when asked what I wanted to be when I grew up the answer was always a "mommy." I was born with a very strong maternal instinct & empathetic nature. Being a nanny is much more than a job to me. I feel that I can change & impact a child & parents life in a very positive way. It is not just about caring for a child for an hour or two. To me it is caring for the world. I am a strong believer in the motto "it takes a village." Being a mother myself I understand that it takes more than parents to raise a child. This job gives me an opportunity to help change the community and give back. At the early age of 22 I was in a position where I had to raise a child on my own. It was extremely challenging but I learned a lot. I had to learn the skills of motherhood very quickly. My daughter was born premature and I spent months waking her up every night for feedings every 2 hours. That was my first gig at true exhaustion! When my first daughter was 5 I got married and had a son & daughter back to back. My second daughter was only 1 year old when my son was born. I was a stay at home mom and spent the majority of the day & night alone taking care of my newborn, 1 year old, and 5 year old. Do I know what exhaustion is...YES! My husband was a real estate agent working in new homes at the time & we decided to open a brokerage and run it out of our home. At this time we decided we needed help and we hired a nanny. I can remember that day like it was yesterday! I sit here today & remember that huge sigh of relief I had the first day she showed up! I remember how much I loved her immediately just knowing she was there to help! My children are now all in school and I feel that it is my time to give back. Moms & Dads, I UNDERSTAND! I know what you need & I know what your children need. I can help!

Misty is a very nice nanny. She is very good with kids. She took very good care of my 2 month old and my 7 year old. She was cognizant of the needs of my infant. She is very kind- hearted person. With her around, there was a lot of cheer in the house. She engaged with my kids very nicely. With my 2 month old, she talked and laughed a lot during play time. This was very important for me since I know that happy face means happy environment.

Apart from taking care of my infant, she has many other talents. She is good at meal preparation. She prepares absolutely amazing smoothies.

She is also great with planning birthday parties. She helped me plan food and decoration for my daughter’s birthday party. I did a school themed party and she did a fabulous job of decorating the table to make it look like a school bus. She is very creative.

Misty is very helpful by nature. Realizing how busy my husband and I keep, she offered to run errands for us for example, groceries, returning merchandize, etc.

And lastly, on Christmas she got presents for both the girls – indeed very thoughtful of her. I am not sure very many nannies will do that!!

Thank you Misty for helping us out!
