Gloria’s Bio
In 1998, I started taking courses to become a certified nursing assistant. Which I completed and became Michigan state certified in 1998. As a part of our training we were required to care for residents at private and county run homes. Since then I have worked at those facilities, cared for my grand-father, worked on dimentia/Alzheimer's unit and occasionally have the pleasure of caring for my parents when we visit. I believe what makes me good at it is that I'm able to quickly empathize with their needs and wants. And, I understand the importance of having a good attitude. Attitude of I get to be here with you today! Attendance. Just showing up and being there means so much to them. Music can be therapeutic as well. I worked for insurance companies. I'm able to coordinate care with providers. I'm able to do inventory of medications and supplies. Walking, swimming and visiting museums.
