I have been a private live-in care provider for the last four years to a lady with dementia and parkinson's. I was responsible for her medication management, doctor visits, household chores, shopping, personal hygiene, driving her to social engagements and companionship (we had fun together). I am professional and courteous while also warm and engaging. I made a decision a few years ago to care for my mother and found my calling in life. I was able to give her and the lady I have provided for reassurance and comfort which gives me true satisfaction. Now I am looking to support a new lady who I can help and she will also be helping me. I have taken CPR classes and am willing to become certified as the need arises. My work prior to care providing was in health insurance. I worked for Blue Shield of CA and Dept. of Veteran's Affairs along with various temporary assignments.
