I was a care provider for an elderly woman for about 6 years. I provided not only companionship and emotional support; I provided cleaning services of her home(cleaning,laundry,dishes,mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, and whatever else was asked of me), maintained her meds, bathed and assisted dressing, provided transportation to and from appointments (staying to help assist inside the appointment as well), ran errands, cooked, and prepared meals. I stayed by my clients side until her last breath. I am a 42 year old mother of five, which most are grown and on their own. I have ran my own daycare at one point for about three years while my husband was in the Army.
