Home Care Rates $20 per hour
Hi, my name is Cynthia M. For the last eight years I have given care to a beautiful girl who has autism and is mentally challenged. Providing the proper care includes intuitive communication as she cannot converse. Keeping within a schedule on a daily basis. Providing constant emotional support & advice for parents on changes that could be made. No matter what child or adult every personality and needs are different no matter what the challenge.
There are also special concerns about safety issues.
The first two years I had this job I drove our girl to school, then went to help mom take care of dad who was diagnosed with Dementia and Parkinson's disease. Care requirement bathroom, shower, hygiene, diaper, catheter, dressing. Helped with a wheelchair, prepared meals, administered medicine/vitamins. Safety issues, interfaced with physical therapist and nurse on a weekly basis.
I just finished a job for a woman whose mother's has Dementia.
I have always been a personal assistant to my clients. Besides just taking care of the client, I enjoy doing all household chores, cooking, organizing, shopping. Everything that I can do to help out so the family can spend more quality time their loves.
My schedule can be flexible.
I have had a couple other jobs which I can share.
I am 58 this is semi-retirement for me. I enjoy helping others.
Before this, I worked in the corporate world for the same company for 28 years. I was VP of Accounts Receivable then moved into management.
I am certified CPR American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers (CPR and (AED) Program. Adult, Children, and Infants.
