I have cared for elderly people in my neighborhood for the past ten years, running errands, shopping, preparing meals, and doing light housework, as well as visiting with them and keeping them company. Their ages ranged from 71 to 92. For five years, I was the primary caregiver for my grandmother who passed away at the age of 99. I have a great deal of respect for elderly people, and plan to specialize with elder care when I graduate and start work as an occupational therapist.
