I recently completed my CNA and CHHA certifications at Los Angeles Harbor College. I passed my state tests and have proof of my certifications. I did my clinical training for my CNA certification in the transitional care unit at Little Company of Mary in Torrance and my clinical training for my CHHA certification at Sunrise Assisted Living in Hermosa Beach. While at TCU I learned a lot about medical conditions such as alzheimers, parkinsons, dementia, broken bones, etc. I learned how to transfer patients with or without special equipment, how to feed, bathe, and toileting with patients. I worked with both male and female patients and ages varied. I really enjoyed my time spent at both facilities.
