I love cats and have 2 spoiled indoor beauties. I'm looking for extra income in applying for this position...
I've done pet sitting in the past. Once for an employer who traveled quite a bit. I took care of their cat and dog which included walking the dog on nice days. On rainy days she would climb onto the treadmill with me and we would hike away! I also pet sat two dogs for another employer - one that was on a special diet, so it involved keeping the food separate, etc. Unfortunately, I don't have references from either employer & it was quite a while ago that I sat for either of them...
I have also watched after my friend's cat that included visiting him twice a day - feeding, cleaning his box & spending time with him so he wasn't lonely.
I live in apartment complex in Nevada County that seems to accumulate lots of stray cats. Most of the tenants feed them and take care of them (if they allow it). We have one stray that has been there about ten years and I'm the only person that she will allow to pet her. I'm making a bit of progress in trying to get her to join my cat family. Some of my neighbors refer to me as the Cat Whisperer (lol).
