I was a caregiver for my late husband for 7 years - the last year he was on hospice which required 24/7 care. It was a privilege to care for him and provide him with comfort and joy. A year after his passing, my mother suffered a debilitating stroke. My siblings abandoned her so I took her to live with me. She required assistance with all ADL, implementation of speech, occupational and physical therapy. Again, it was such an honor to be able to give my mom peace and loving care. Sadly after a year and a 1/2 she required more skilled care in a residential facility. Of course I visit her all the time, but I'm so grateful to have been able to provide, her smiles, home cooked meals, transportation, companionship and love. I would treat and care for you or your loved one with the same empathetic, loving care that I provided my husband and mom. I've had various corporate careers, and was self-employed for awhile but really missed the fullfillment of being a caregiver and providing them with the dignity and respect that they so deserved. I really enjoy working with the elderly and infirm as I have learned so many lessons and values from their life experience. I am a Christian women who firmly believes that in the end, it's all about relationships and LOVE!
