While I drove a taxi for La Jolla Cab, my respect and affection for our passengers made me a favorite driver for many of our [mostly senior] clients, and I am bringing that sort of empathy and desire to be helpful to this job search.. Now that I'm a senior citizen myself, I'd really like to do something more satisfying than the 9 to 5 grind, and getting paid for helping others maintain independence in their own home or assisted living facility would help me stay independent, too ! My only applicable experience aside from the taxi job was taking care of an 80+ lady for about two years .. on Wednesdays & Sundays I was her driver, cook, friend, "adopted daughter" and all-round Gal Friday until she died. I don't have any formal training, but I've got common sense and a big heart.
