Hello,
 
I am a mother of three adult children and a seasoned senior care professional with over ten years of hands on experience. My most recent senior care work is with Visiting Angels organization in which I have been a companion and caretaker for over five years.  As a daughter of a paraplegic Marine Corps Retired Vet. for over 32yrs., I understand first hand of what it is required to care for one who fully depends on someone who is loving, patient, kind, and passionate about senior care services.  Upon the passing of my mother who was the primary caretaker of my father, I too later played a major role in caring for him which included providing catheter care, bowel procedures, feeding, rotating, bedsore prevention, and grooming. I have held licensure as a Childcare In Home owner, San Diego County Foster Parent, and Cosmetology and have attend some college courses for Sign Language Interpreters. I am blessed to have played an immediate role in my families elder care, "Grove Elder Care" where my mother was the Nurse Practitioner/Owner. In my role I managed patient confidentially records. I was consistently required to use proper lifting techniques, extend effective communication effective for residents with dementia, and engage residents in various interactive daily activities/life skills.  My special talents include my ability to add grooming/skin/hair care to my senior friends which motivate self-esteem and worthwhile in senior years of life. I am an advocate of healthy eating, functional diets that are flexible, weight management based on health requirements, and positive thinking. I pride my experiences with my senior friends as true relationships where I not only offered a service, but I offered optimal care.
Transportation needs : I have passed experience with San Diego Unified School's with Laidlaw Transit and my driving record is great.
General Education : I was required to successfully complete CPR, First Aid, and Nutrition courses for Grove Elder Care, which was a family owned elder care business under the supervision of my late mother, Yvonne Hutchinson, R.N., N.P.  As a license cosmetologist, I believe in extending great skin care plans, healthy diet and fitness plans, light tension massages, and I offer grooming.  Some of these may require an additional fee depending on the amount of service.
