Lorenzo’s Bio
I have always desired to be there for an individual with a disability. I have seen many times how left out or different individuals feel when they are living with a disability. I've heard many stories of how they fear what others may think about them. I had a mild concussion that lead to partial epilepsy during my 8th grade year of middle school and onward until I graduated high school in 2018. I felt left out and insecure of my disability at the time because I had gone from being one of the most athletic students in my school district to a student who had an incredibly strict limitation of movement I could engage in back then. I wanted to be a paleontologist in high school, but given my condition at the time, I spent my after school hours practicing the creation of music on my laptop with my best friend. At the end of my senior year, I was accepted to Loyola University in New Orleans and the University of The Pacific in Stockton to study the Music Industry and Business Management major. I was able to achieve those amazing feats by staying committed to my passion of creating music. Additionally, I was able to get the help I needed to overcome my epileptic condition at the UCSF neurology department in San Francisco. Now I been more than happy to make new friends and connections since I had quite the experience of being limited by a disability. I turned 20 years old in September of 2020, but maintain an incredibly positive outlook regarding the privilege of living life to the fullest, regardless of what may seem impossible to achieve. I was lonely and ashamed of my disability for years and now that I have overcame it's hold on me, I've been looking for times to lend other people with disabilities a hand and show them that they are just as amazing as anyone else could possibly be. I'm very open to exercising since I was an incredibly active athlete during my school years. I am also quite the nerd as I like to have open conversations about things such as Star Wars, Jurassic Park, sports shows such as basketball, Nascar, baseball, hockey and much more. I love music with a passion and have an wide rage of genres that I listen to and attempt to create songs that sound similar. I listen to just about anything, such as 80's synthwave/retrowave, 60's rock, 90's hip hop, techo music, and even movie/videogame orchestra soundtracks. I don't have any certifications as a care provider, but I hope you may still consider me as a candidate for this position.
