I'm a 22-year-old recent college graduate with a passion for helping older adults. I began volunteering at nursing homes when I was 16 and immediately fell in love with it. Since then, I've worked as both a Social Services Intern and Assistant at a Continuing Care Retirement Community. In these roles, I provided companionship (in the form of walks, conversations, reading, listening to music, etcetera) to seniors in need of emotional support. I also provided assistance with tasks of daily living (such as organizing papers and going through mail, doing laundry, and preparing meals). In the midst of the pandemic, I helped individuals navigate their technology to get connected to friends, family, and doctors. I have a lot of experience working with people with Dementia as well as Parkinson's Disease.
