Growing up, I was always told I should be a teacher. My family has always described me as calming, caring, patient, and extremely empathetic. I've found that I prefer one-on-one time, which led me to care giving.
I have been a care giver full time for the last 2 years. Since I was very young, I have always wanted to help others. Over time, I have come to realize that when it comes to helping can come in many ways. The way that I have chosen has always been care. Whether that be helping with dishes, groceries, or being a companion, it has always brought me joy.
A few years ago, my great-grandfather had a stroke and required a lot of care to get back to feeling like himself again. I was there with my family every step of the way, and I would love to provide the same care and support to another family.
