I am uniquely qualified to be a care companion thanks to my job with the company, Imagine. I work in a group home for developmentally disabled elders and they trained me in everything from CPR and medicine administration to helping people to strive towards their individual goals. I love my time in this home--it teaches me many things, like the sport of extreme patience, the art of humor when faced with the absurd and irrational, and how to juggle the needs of 8 low-functioning individuals at once.

At Imagine, we focus on person-centered thinking. This means that we do everything that we can to empower our residents even as they are losing their own power. We involve them in all choices relating to their lives and keep them active and engaged in their hobbies and their community. As a caregiver for your loved one, I will bring them humor, new meaningful relationships (both with me and other community members when possible) and tasty food.
