Robin S. Care Companion in Cheshire, CT 06410

Currently I am caring for my 80 year old father, who is suffering from Primary Progressive Aphasia. I take him on outings to give my mother time alone and enjoy keeping him busy. We go bowling, out for lunch or coffee, walking on the trail, or for a day trip to the shore. I have always enjoyed interacting with the elderly. When I was in junior high school, I volunteered as a candy striper at a nursing home and looked forward to my "job." I maintained long term relationships with some residents. When my own grandmothers were alive, I loved nothing more than to sit and listen to their stories and tried to soak up their wisdom.

I am respectful and nurturing. I follow directions well and take initiative. I am very safety conscious. I am friendly, warm, and a good conversationalist. I am an active and interested listener. I am trustworthy and honest and would treat your loved one as my own.
