I am a CNA and have been working in caregiving most of my life. Before I was married I was a part time nanny for two children and worked in a daycare. After I had my own 3 children I went back to work as a homemaker/companion for the elderly. I worked for the Visiting Nurses Association for 2 years as a homemaker. After they closed that department, I cleaned homes for a couple years until I was offered a care job 3 days a week. I recently took a CNA course after my job of 2 years ended. I was taking care of an elderly woman in her own home until the family decided she needed more care and put her into assisted living. I took care of her daily living needs such as: dressing, showering, meal preparation, taking her to appointments and companionship.

I HAD to write an amount for hourly rate. However, that will really depend on the job and is flexible.
