Retired empty nester! Also willing to work in the Chestertown, Md area. Having worked in my family business for 20 years, owned my own business for 19 years and worked for corporate for 4 years I have made the personally choice to retire. However, having recently had the opportunity to care for elderly neighbors, I have found a new passion!
From hearing stories of their lives and experiences I have learned so many wonderful things! My father, who is almost 83, had always said the worst part of getting old is that your mind still thinks it's young...and your body just laughs at you! The second worse thing about getting older is all your friends pass on and the young folks are too busy with work and kids to spend much time with you. Being a retired empty nester I can offer your loved one the companionship they crave.
I have cared for my father after his knee replacements and back surgery, my mother after her surgery and my ex husband who had stage 4 pancreatic cancer along with several other family members and neighbors. I have also done overnight care for a beautiful 94 year old lady whom I am still caring for.
I enjoy an occasional glass of wine with dinner and am a social drinker only. I have no tolerance for drugs.
