Shirley Jean’s Bio
I am CPR/First-Aid Certified. I have completed 16 senior care certifications including CNA.
I recently cared for Norma's Mother, who is a 81 yr. old lady. She suffered from Parkinson's, Alzheimer's, Kidney disease, and 4 back surgeries.
I completely took care of her house, ran errands, provided all transportation for medical appts., and other personal needs. Helped with medications, and performed physical therapy for back pain.
I cooked a very limited diet to limit protein, potassium and phosphorus.
I have been a companion/caregiver for 20 plus years, including my own mother.
Please read the bottom recommendation from Norma Grubb.

This letter is a high recommendation for Shirley Cox, as caregiver for my Mom. Shirley has been my Mom's caregiver for the last year.
She is a very caring, giving, person. I have had several Caregivers over time with my Dad first and now my Mom.
I can't say enough good things about the genuine care she has towards my Mother, and my Mom was not always easy.
Some of the daily duties she did for my Mom are as follows: She would get her clothes out for the day and keep laundry washed up, including sheets as often as needed, make her bed, make her breakfast and a true home cooked meal for lunch from scratch.
A true Southern gal and her cooking and personality showed it. She also straightened up the house daily including swishing toilets, keeping sinks wiped down. She also turned her bed down before leaving.
She would play any games my Mom liked, plus just be a friend and socialize as to interact with my Mom a form of stimulation including going to the pool when my Mom was up to it.
Being a good friend is so important and interaction is crucial. Shirley drove my Mom to Dr.'s appts., hair appts., did her grocery shopping and anything else that was needed like taking the car to get serviced.
She is not just a caregiver, she becomes a member of your family.
I hate to lose Shirley, but my Mom had a spell on a Sunday night (Aug 9th) and Shirley rushed over to check on her and then called 911.
Since then she has moved into assisted living at Shell Point, which we are going to make permanent for her safety and it is time to make the step.
We will miss Shirley dearly, but she visits and keeps in touch. You will be lucky to have Shirley in your life!!!!!!!!!!
