My name is Nakeia Daniels, and I'm currently an Home Health Aide. I'm married with two boys, 13 and 6yrs old, so patience is my middle name. I decided to go into home health because I've worked in retail for many years and time after time I've seen the elderly struggling to shop and care for themselves. I can give so much more by providing friendship, conversation, and care to someone who needs it. My grandmother is now 94 yrs old, and I often think of her when I'm caring for a companion or patient. I've previously cared for 3 other patients. My first was an Alzheimer's patient, whom I cared for. I assisted him with bath, dressing, preparing meals, and also transportation to Dr. visits. I also offered companionship to 2 other ladies, light cleaning, meal prep, and taking care of errands are just a few of my duties. I'm certified In Home Health Aide, which consists of : assistance with medication, Alzheimer's Training, Domestic Violence, HIV/AIDS, OSHA Training, and CPR.
