I have a lot of experience working with all types of people who need a companion or a bit of help on daily routines. Non-paid work: I cared for my mother when she was older and needed help on many things. She lived with me and leaned on me to help her with medication, dressing, bath time, etc.
Paid work: I worked with ID individuals in a group and individual setting. We went out into the community, learned new skills and had a great time just doing "friend" things.
I was a live-in care giver to an elderly couple who needed assistance in light housekeeping, meal prep, shopping, etc. Overall, I get pleasure out of helping people do what they can't for themselves. I'd love the opportunity to help you or your loved one to have happy productive and fulfilled lives.
