In March 2019 I began my journey in senior care. I was a resident aid at an assisted living facility for seniors with Alzheimer's and dementia. For two years I also worked for an ADT program for people with disabilities just before becoming a resident assistant. My responsibilities included bathroom assistance, feeding assistance, providing training, support, assistance, supervision, and monitoring of daily activities, as well as assessing, reacting appropriately to and effectively deal with behavioral problems using specified verbal and/or physical behavior techniques. I also have experience working with kids in an after school program from 12/2013-11/2016 at Beverly Shores Elementary. I worked with children from grades pre-k to fifth grade. My responsibilities included facilitating children with homework, organizing toys and materials to ensure an arranged and tidy activity area, and prepping and serving snacks.I have a passion for helping others, no matter the age or developmental status.
