As an Independent Living Specialist I was trained by the Agency For Persons With Disabilities. My duties included but not limited to attended to routine health-care needs of residents under supervision of medical personnel, accompanied residents on shopping trips, served meals and ate with residents to promote social interaction, demonstrated activities such as bathing and dressing to train residents in daily self-care practices, etc. I also worked as a Group Leader for Goodwill Industries. Duties included but not limited to demonstrated job duties to persons with disabilities and observed worker performing tasks to ensure understanding of job duties. I also have an Associate Degree in Human Services and certification in CPR/First Aid.
