I've cared for my own grandparents within their home for the last several years as needed. I still take them grocery shopping or to run errands whenever they require those things. I don't mind sitting and simply chatting with someone who is home-bound for a couple hours at a time. I can help prepare light meals, do light cleaning, play board/card/dice games, take outside the home for fun or appointments or general errands. Sometimes people simply need a friendly face to talk to!

We interviewed April and loved her from the second she walked in. She was very warm and welcoming with our kids. We didn't end up using her because we were visiting the area for a short time but I would feel comfortable hiring her as a sitter if we're in the area again.
I know how daunting it is to leave your children with a new sitter. However, as soon as April walked through our door, I could tell she would be great. Not only was she responsive to my texts regarding the times I needed her to arrive, she also showed up on time, even a tad early. She has TONS of experience watching kids. She was sweet, attentive, and even did light cleaning. But, most importantly, when I got home my kids were having fun and so happy!
We are moving next month. I wish I would have found her earlier. Can not recommend her enough!
