At A Dr's office
Duties included, greeting patients; pharmaceutical reps and delivery personal in a professional manner. Prepared new patient forms; to be filled out by patient – either by mail/email/ or in person, checking for accuracy and completion; Copying insurance ID cards and driver's licenses. Many other general office activities related to a medical practice. I was responsible for pulling and filing patient records; telephone communication with patients, pharmacy personnel, insurance companies, other medical practices or facilities for completion of information to patients. New patient chart set-up and scheduling as such; and many other duties of various nature to the medical practice.
The Doctor, also, described my duties as “Social Worker”. If a patient needed intervention in other areas pertaining to assistance, legal questions, home care, etc. It was my task to assist in any way to help the patient. I have grown in the 10 years in this position and enjoy the variety it gives me.
I enjoy the interaction with patients.
