I have recently retired as a school district HR specialist, and am seeking a part-time position where I can truly help someone on a one-to-one basis. In my previous position, my strength was in focusing on the individual and their specific situation and needs.
Although I don't have professional experience as a caregiver, I have provided care to my elderly mother, and also to my husband after he was diagnosed with a terminal illness, and so am aware of the challenges, difficulties and rewards of providing care.
I am a very caring, patient, personable, responsible person, and a very effective caregiver and companion. I'm not afraid of hard work, or illness and disability, and believe in the value of each person as an individual.
