My name is Micalyn. I am a 40-year-old mother of two amazing boys and a wife. My family and I have relocated to the Winter Park area from North Carolina to be closer to my parents. I have 19+ years of experience in caring for individuals with various special needs. This experience comes from my professional experience, as well as my personal life. I have my Associate of Science Degree in Medical Assisting. I have extensive experience caring for children and adults with different abilities; physical, intellectual, behavioral, and psychological. This includes individuals with Parkinson's Disease, Alzheimer's/Dementia, MRDD, CP, Bipolar disorder, Autism, and wheelchair dependent individuals to name a few. I have experience working with individuals with medical needs, such as seizure disorder, catheterization, gravity tube feeding, colostomy, incontinence, and wound care. I have experience in assisting with errands, doctor appointments, and house keeping as well. I have provided community supports to adults, young and old. I have experience providing in home care to adults and children who require anything from light assistance and companionship to complete care.
