I currently supervise activities at Carlyle Place, a continuing care community in Macon. I started at the facility as a volunteer in the Memory Care unit. Then I worked part time at the concierge desk. After that I became full time activity coordinator in the Memory Care unit. Currently, as I stated above, I supervise activities in all three healthcare neighborhoods, i.e., skilled nursing, memory care, and assisted living. I am working full-time, but would like to make some extra money by sitting with residents, giving their caregivers a break. I am very good at communicating with dementia, and engaging any healthcare resident with activities that they have loved in the past, or want to try now. This part time would be after 5:00 in the evenings and/or on weekends.
