A lot of my experience came from providing in-home care to my own grandparents and parents. I love making people feel important and cared about, independent and keeping their integrity. I recently cared for a wheelchair-bound lady recovering from a heart attack and stroke which left her unable to walk on her own. During the 3.5 years I assisted with getting up, getting dressed, preparing breakfast, lunch and snacks, playing cards, games and reading. I also helped with bathroom assistance did light housekeeping including laundry, dishes, sweeping, dusting, vacuming.
