Hello my name is Debra. I have been CNA for 23 years. I started out in a Nursing Home.Did that for 4 years.It would make me sad too see the elderly people there who had no family.So after 4 years i left and went to work for agencies. I did that for 10 years Then people would call me to do private clients.I loved that because I would only have 1 or 2 people to care for. And I could spoil them.. I took care of a 90 year old lady who just had her leg amputated. I taught her how to get in a recliner chair by herself. How to get out of a recliner chair get on the toilet get off the toilet. By herself. How to pull her pants up and down by herself. Etc We went wherever she wanted to go .I loved that lady but she died at the age of 97 .The saddest day of my life. I Was lost without her .My only problem with this type of work is when they die.
