I am a 30yo female, who has been a professional caregiver/manager for over 10 years. I have always had the passion to pay it forward since i was a child. My eldest sibling suffers from cerebral palsy/ mental disabled. I have watched "caregivers come and go, as well as nurses. They never seemed to really have a passion for what they do. And when I would converse with them, they would say they were mainly what they are because of the money. It made me angry, because the care that they gave my brother was minimal and no compassion was shown. From then on I told myself that I would work in a field where I could give to those who can't help themselves. Show them the care and love they deserve. I have been working as a manager for a company who services people with mental disabilities. I love what I do, but my services are limited due to resources from the company. I feel it's time for me to branch off into my own independence, and be of service to families who are in need of a little extra help. I have letters of recommendation from families I've worked with in the past, also great references. I'm just ready to do all I can to make sure whomever i work with will be extremely pleased with what i have to offer. I am also CPR/First Aid certified. I have been trained in behavioral management, and Crisis prevention intervention.
