Laswan’s Bio

My name is Laswan and I became a caregiver because I sincerely care about the well being of others. I was raised by my grandmother, a nurse, from infancy. She has been my inspiration and model of how to treat people, no matter what their background. I got my first job as a caregiver at Sunrise Senior Living where I worked for 4 years assisting independent residents with bathing, grooming, light housekeeping and meal prep. In 2011 I was asked to assist w a 92 year old woman who was declining into Alzheimer’s and dementia. Outside of the normal caregiving tasks we spent time working on puzzles, going on walks and taking trips to see family. I recently assisted some elder clients in their homes through a private agency. I am CPR/First Aid certified.
