I have CNA certification, and have been trained in CPR and AED through the American Heart Association. I have worked most recently with the elderly in both a nursing home and assisted living. Several years ago I worked in a day care facility, I have also had a home day care. Through the years I have taken care of friend's children. In between these two phases of my life I raised two boys of my own. My youngest son had Down Syndrome and Autism, so I feel
I have the ability care for children with disabilities. I also feel that raising my son has given me the ability to tune in to all children who may be at a stage where their communication and physical skills are still developing. I enjoy doing crafts, reading and playing outside. I also enjoy making toys and games from things you can find at home, or from inexpensive items that can be found at dollar stores.
