I'm seeking a part-time (or less) employment opportunity as an elder care companion. I have not been a personal companion but I have a degree in social work. My background is exclusively medical social work in hospital, nursing home, and hospice care. My former career was extremely demanding and I worked full time plus. I've decided that moving away from social work is in the best interest of myself and my family. I am a mom and I've been a homemaker for the last two years. I have daily experience in cooking, shopping, budgeting, laundry, housekeeping, and caring for my two children. I was raised in a rural southern Illinois town and I've lived in Jackson County for many years. I love reading, studying history and learning to be a better gardener. I have my own car and an unremarkable driving record.
