I have a lot of respect for elders and I have always loved being around them. I've taken care of a 92 yr old before for 3 years. Laurene had gone through a stroke 2/3 years prior to when I was privileged to take care of her. Due to the stroke, the right side of her body was not functioning properly. I would help Laurene get through her daily routine by keeping her company, prepping meals for her, bathing her whenever needed, helping her to get dressed in the mornings, getting her in and out her bed, wheelchair, dining chair, doing her laundry, etc. I had such a great experience being around her; she has taught me so many things. I has been almost 2 years since I've left her house, but I still talk to herself and her family. Due to school and internship requirements, I had to unfortunately stop taking care of her. Now, I am available and looking for an opportunity to take care of someone's loved one! I am a very caring, dedicated and honest person. I will be more than happy to help someone to get through their days, just as I would love to have someone to care and have patience with me when my ears don't hear anymore and my legs and brain fail.
