I have been visiting my aunt who lives in a nursing home, for the past 8 or 9 years and every time I do, I see other needs that her roommates have and tend to answer questions and do things they need done when the CNA staff isn't available. I abide by the rules of the facility and my discernment shows me what not to do that is reserved for their family or staff. I have read to her, crocheted, helped her with math, spelling, and writing so her mind can stay active. We even walked when she was up to it. Because of my first hand experience with the elderly, I have the ability bro work with others.
