I was raised in a small town of 1,500 people. At 10 years old I enjoyed the company of an elderly woman that lived down the street from us when I was growing up & would visit her daily. I knew taking care of the elderly was what I wanted to do. For the past 18 years I have worked for long term care facilities mostly full time job & prn job. In 2010 I worked for a Hospice company & was layed off when the company closed in 2014. Currently I am attending a couple college classes to further my education in healthcare while working prn at a facility I previously had patients with hospice in. Lifting people's spirits, laughing with them, loving them, caring for them is a gift the good Lord blessed me with. Treating the elderly with the respect & dignity deserve.
