I am a direct support professional. I take care of those who are physically and mentally disabled. I have previous work experience in this field and fell in love with this type of work. I have a passion for helping people. To me something as simple as helping someone tie their shoe and seeing the smile on their face after is the best reward anyone could receive. I am CPR and First Aid certified and certified in CPI as well. I have a cousin who has disabilities so I grew up around people with disabilities. I am currently pursuing a degree in Human Services hoping to advance further in this field.
