I am a stay at home mother of six children, ages 12 to 25, who relocated to Indianapolis to care for my (medically needy) elderly father. Now he has regained his strength and independence once again so I would love to share my skills and knowledge with your family to assist your loved one. I have experience with re-positioning, assisting transfers to and from bed, chair, toilet, shower, etc. I can manage medications as needed as well as administer insulin shots. I am able to assist with at home PT/INR monitoring and blood glucose testing. I have experience operating and cleaning medical devices necessary for respiratory care including ventilator, suction, humidity, nebulizer, and more. I have worked with in-home medical personnel to help with an at home care plan including speech, occupational and physical therapists as well as respiratory therapist and home nurse (RN). I believe that our elderly family members are very important and should be cared for and treated with respect and assisted with as much dignity as possible. Without them, we would not be, so I do believe we owe it to them to help them live as comfortably as possible. They deserve that and so much more.
