Hi!

I have a B.A. degree in Psychology and over 10 years of experience working within the Social Work Field. In 2007, for 2 years, I provided private care for a woman with Alzheimer's. I enjoyed providing care and in 2009 I worked for 2 years within an agency for individuals with developmental disabilities. Within the agency I worked among a great population with a broad range of diagnosis'. I assisted each individual based on their need for personal care. The type of care I provided ranged from grocery shopping to assistance with bathing. I am qualified to track, administer and give medications.
Due to my husband being transferred, since 2011, I have been providing care to individuals on my own. I have integrated the tools and training that I learned within an agency.
My last job assignment was one on one supervision for a 29 year old guy who has Asperger's Syndrome. I enjoyed working with him and per his special needs, I found creative ways to keep him directed toward positive and healthy activities. I enjoy providing care and based on my husbands last performance review, it appears that we will be staying within the Kansas City area for quite awhile!
