I am a 33 year old mother of three who had to put my much wanted nursing career on the back burner in order to raise my children the way I felt was needed. I was however certified as a nursing assistant and also certified in CPR/first aid for five years. I have worked with people of all ages from child care to caring for the elderly in nursing homes. Ive always had a passion for caring for others in whatever way they may need it but my elderly, or slightly older, companions have always held a special place in my heart. Knowing that they have each lived their own lives and are set in their ways helps me to understand that caring for them as individuals is so important. They are still living their own lives in their own way and I am just their to help them accomplish that. I get just as much friendship and satisfaction doing my job as I hope they get from me being their companion.
