There was a big age gap between dad and I. He was not the playing type. So spending time with him meant helping. My mother was a person who help take care of people who had different type of illness, and since I was the oldest she took me along with her. Those years spent caring for others was so stimulating. My parents impact was powerful and the results always emotional. A seed was planted and among other reasons, it made a difference in the quality of care for others that led me to become a caregiver. I Work mainly to be a choice in the community. I now provide non-medical care services for individuals that is aging and diagnosed with acute or chronic disease such as; Dementia, Parkinson, Alzheimer’s, Lowey Body, Rheumatoid Arthritis or for companionship because of loneliness, grieving, or depression for individuals who choose to continue living in their home and in the community they know. I provide Personal Care Services such as; Access to Transportation; Ambulatory Assistance; Daily Bath; Feeding; Grooming; Medication Reminder; Personal Hygiene; Shampoo; and Shaving. I provide Homemaking Services such as; Food Preparation; Light Housekeeping; Linen Change; Meal Plan; and Personal Laundry. Also Companionship such as; Errands; Home Projects; Personal Correspondence. Prompt and Reminders; Shopping; and Social Events; I was a certified Nurse's assistant and now continuing my education in becoming a registered nurse. In the meanwhile ongoing training for Dementia, Parkinson, Alzheimer’s, Lowey Body, Rheumatoid Arthritis.
