Hello my name is Shaunda G McRae Im 43 years old and looking to relocate.I have been a private caregiver for two years. I am currently employed with M&M Long Properties in Gloster, Louisiana. My clients name is Marian S. Long and she is 92 years old and has a small dog named Dolly. I stumbled across this type of work by chance. Mrs. Long suffers from dementia and has numerous heath problems. For the first year and a half I worked 24 hours every other day now its just 12 hours every other day. Our day consists of preparing three meals, meds, breathing treatments, shower, cleaning her home, trips to the Dr appts, short drives to get a cheesburger (her favorite) and most importantly friendship. Mrs Long is from Bremerton Washington and she loves and misses that part of the country. When i hear her talk about how beautiful it is ...well it has inspired me to make a change. I have grown very fond of Mrs Long. We have spent alot of time together. Not all of It has been good as a matter of fact most of it has been heartbreaking but when we have good days its all worth it. I love that women and her little dog and I think thats the most important thing. What I have to offer is love, compassion and friendship. It will break my heart to leave Mrs. Long and I wish I could put her and Dolly in my pocket and bring them with me. She is always saying "if you ever get the chance to go...go.. you will enjoy it." So I will carry her with me in my heart.
